CounselBrief / 律信简报
Last updated: June 12, 2026

CounselBrief is a legal briefing draft assistant for lawyers, legal teams, and compliance teams. We treat source materials, client information, and generated drafts as sensitive professional content.

1. Data We Process

Regulations, cases, news, policy text, draft language, and other source materials that users type, paste, or import into the app are used to generate legal briefings, client alerts, internal memos, and similar documents. Generated output, job status, and on-device archive records are used to display, restore, export, and manage the documents requested by users.

2. On-Device History

The app stores generated history and archive documents on the device so users can review and export them later. Users may delete local history inside the app. Deleting local history does not automatically delete temporary server-side job data that has already been submitted to complete a generation request.

3. AI Backend and Third-Party Processing

Production AI generation is processed through our backend service. To complete user-initiated generation, stop, recovery, and export flows, the app transmits submitted source materials, generation options, job status, and generated output to our backend. The backend uses DeepSeek to generate content and may use Tavily or similar public web research services to supplement public-source context. These model and research providers are used to provide the requested generation service, not for advertising or cross-app tracking in this app.

4. Retention and Logs

The backend temporarily stores source materials, generated output, job status, and request identifiers required for asynchronous generation, so users can recover results after network interruption, app minimization, or reopening the app. Current server-side job data is retained for up to 7 days by default and is then cleaned up. Operational logs are used for debugging, performance, and security monitoring; logs should not contain complete user-submitted source materials or model API keys.

5. No Sale of Personal Data

We do not sell personal data and do not use user source materials for cross-app tracking or third-party advertising. We do not disclose user materials to third parties except where necessary for AI generation, public-source research, infrastructure hosting, troubleshooting, security, or legal compliance.

6. User Responsibility

Users should not submit confidential information, sensitive personal information, or restricted materials that they are not authorized to process. Before distribution, users are responsible for confirming that each draft complies with their organization’s data, security, and confidentiality requirements.

7. Deletion and Contact

For privacy questions, requests to delete server-side data associated with generation jobs, or requests to exercise rights under applicable privacy laws, contact contact@xufanzhilian.com. We will verify and respond to requests within a reasonable period.
